The Sureway Wollongong Roller Hawks sit atop the NWBL ladder after one round, claiming victory in all three games to get their title defence off to an ideal start.

The Sureway Wollongong Roller Hawks are ready to take what they believe they should’ve been given - a fourth consecutive National Wheelchair Basketball League (NWBL) championship.

After a dearth of international competition due to COVID-19, the fixtures are set to come thick and fast in 2022 starting with the Asia Oceania Zone Championships in Thailand this week.

Wollongong Roller Hawks captain Brett Stibners says there’s no expectations for his NSW team when it lines up at Australia’s premier underage wheelchair basketball tournament, the Kevin Coombs Cup, in Ballarat next week.

Brett Stibners will use Australia’s premier junior wheelchair basketball tournament as a litmus test to see if a future in coaching beckons.
