The Sureway Wollongong Roller Hawks host Round 2 of the National Wheelchair Basketball League (NWBL) starting tonight against the Darwin Salties at Shellharbour City Stadium.

The Roller Hawks emerged from Round 1 with a perfect 3-0 start but know each team will be much better coming into this weekend’s games with the return of Shaun Norris for Perth and Michael Auprince for Brisbane.

Both missed Round 1 with COVID but will go head to head in the opening game of the round. The Australian pair had been club teammates up until last year before Auprince decided to return to the east coast for the 2022 season.

The second contest will see the Roller Hawks host Darwin and while the Salties are still without Tom O’Neill-Thorne, they still boast plenty of weapons with Clarence McCarthy-Grogan and Jontee Brown.

The Roller Hawks will be looking for a big crowd on Saturday afternoon when they take Perth before rounding out the weekend against Queensland on Sunday afternoon.
