The Wollongong Roller Hawks begin the 2016 NWBL season looking to take things one or two steps further than 2015.

The Roller Hawks squad is brimming this season with the side from last year joined by some new as well as some familiar faces.

The season tips off in Newcastle at Broadmeadow Stadium with the cluster round with the Roller Hawks taking on the Perth Wheelcats on Friday night. The Wheelcats return to the league this season after missing 2015. 

On Saturday, the Roller Hawks take on the two sides that knocked them out of the 2015 Finals Series, the Red Dust Heelers followed by the Kilsyth Cobras. The Roller Hawks round out the weekend on Sunday against the Queensland Spinning Bullets.
